I receive the error message “Failed to run install script.” during the installation process.
If you receive the error message “Failed to run install script.” when trying to install Dungeon Siege III, please do the following:
Quit Steam, then go to the Run command prompt and enter:
C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe –install D: (This assumes that D:\ is your DVD drive)
Users of a 64bit version of Windows may have to use:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe –install D:
*If you have installed Steam in a different folder, please use the appropriate file path instead.
