THE USE OF FFXIV COINS IS RESTRICTED BY REGION. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHECK YOUR FFXIV ACCOUNT’S REGION. IF YOU CHANGE THE REGION OF YOUR NINTENDO ACCOUNT, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR FFXIV COINS. This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions under which Account (as defined in Article 1) holders may use FFXIV Coins (as defined in Article 1) (the “Terms and Conditions”). If you wish to use FFXIV Coins, please read and agree to all of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these Terms and Conditions, you may not use FFXIV Coins. Depending on the User’s (as defined in Article 1) age, the User may be required to obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian or provide age assurance before redeeming any FFXIV Coins.
The term "the Company" "we" or "us" or "our" refers to Square Enix Co., Ltd for the ASIA region, Square Enix Limited for the United Kingdom and European region, and Square Enix, Inc. for the Americas region:
Square Enix Co., Ltd., is a corporation registered in Japan with an office in Tokyo, Japan.
Square Enix Limited is a corporation registered in England with company number 01804186 VAT registration number 680 9884 78 and registered office address 240 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NW, England.
Square Enix Inc. is a corporation registered in Washington with registered office address 2150 E. Grand Ave., El Segundo, California 90245.
The term "the Service" shall mean the massively multiplayer online game "FINAL FANTASY XIV" provided by the Company and the services on the website provided by the Company for the use of users in relation to "FINAL FANTASY XIV" (the use and purchase of FFXIV Coins is set forth in Article 4).
The "Terms of Service" means the "FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement” (https://sqex.to/nUlDg) and other rules and policies associated with the use of FINAL FANTASY XIV (https://sqex.to/XIVRules), including the “Square Enix Account Terms Of Use”.
"User" means a customer who has agreed to the Terms of Service and has registered as a user in order to use the Service.
"Account" means the "Square Enix Account”.
"Account Terms" means the terms and conditions to which you agree when you register for a Square Enix Account (https://sqex.to/2ptu2). "Fees, etc." means the fees for the use of the Paid Services by the User and any other payment incurred as a result of the User's choices within the Service.
"FFXIV Coins" means points that are electromagnetically recorded in the account in accordance with the usage fees etc. paid, and can be used for the purposes specified in Article 4.1 when consumed.
These Terms and Conditions apply to any and all use of FFXIV Coins by the User on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.
The User confirms that all use of the Service by the User shall be governed by these Terms in addition to the Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Terms of Service, the provisions of these Terms shall prevail.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time and from time to time as necessary. In the event of any modification of these Terms, the Company shall post a notice to that effect on the Service provided on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform, or shall use other appropriate means to publicize the contents of the modified Terms, the effective date of the modification, and other necessary matters.
FFXIV Coins shall only be available for purchase on the Service on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.
FFXIV Coins can be used for the following purposes.
| (1) | Payment for the Service on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform |
| (2) | Payments made at the store associated with the Service (designated by us as “Mog Station” and “FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Store,” hereinafter referred to as the “Store”) for purchases such as optional items and optional services. |
We reserve the right, at any time and in our sole discretion, to change the number of FFXIV Coins required to redeem for individual items or services without notice to you. Once FFXIV Coins have been redeemed for goods or services, they will be deducted from the User's account and cannot be redeemed again. In addition, Users cannot cancel a transaction (i.e., the exchange of FFXIV Coins for virtual goods or services within the Service) once it has been completed. However, we reserve the right to cancel or void any such transactions upon confirmation of fraudulent transactions.
In addition to the preceding two paragraphs, the purchase unit, payment period, payment method, and other conditions related to the use of FFXIV Coins shall be determined separately by the Company as set out herein or otherwise notified to you, and the User shall comply with such conditions. Depending on the User’s age, the User may be required to obtain the consent of a legal representative in each case before making a purchase.
The User shall follow the terms and conditions of the payment method of Nintendo Co., Ltd. (hereafter “Payment Company”). If a problem arises between a User and the Payment Company, the problem shall be resolved between the User and the Payment Company, unless there is a reason attributable to us.
User may choose whether or not they wish to use FFXIV Coins. Access to and use of FFXIV Coins licensed by Company is currently limited to registered Users located in their respective region.
Once purchased, FFXIV Coins cannot be refunded, unless otherwise stipulated by law.
FFXIV COINS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE ONCE REDEEMED AND USED TO EXCHANGE FOR IN-GAME SERVICES AND/OR ITEMS.
We do not grant you any permanent or physical ownership rights to FFXIV Coins, but grant you permission to manage, inquire about and use the remaining number under the following conditions.
FFXIV Coins are virtual goods licensed to Users under the Terms of Service and owned at all times by Company. FFXIV Coins have no monetary value, Users do not have any personal property rights in FFXIV Coins. Therefore, FFXIV Coins may not be traded for cash, currency or any form of property, license or rights except for the products and services that Company chooses to offer users in its sole discretion. Registered Users may not transfer FFXIV Coins to any other person.
| (1) | Management of FFXIV Coins is handled as unique to each registered account. Users shall not transfer, assign, lend, sell, change the name of, or otherwise deal with registered FFXIV Coins to third parties (including acts equivalent to these, as well as acts that do not directly fall under these categories but are deemed to substantially correspond to them), nor shall they assist in such acts. Except for exceptions determined separately by the Company, FFXIV Coins registered to different accounts cannot be combined for use. |
| (2) | FFXIV Coins can be checked on the account management screen (set to Mog Station out of the stores) |
| (3) | FFXIV Coins used are non-refundable |
| (4) | FFXIV Coins can only be used for purposes approved by the Company and cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash, except as otherwise provided by law. |
Currently, FFXIV Coins do not expire, but Company reserves the right to alter or terminate the FFXIV Coins system at any time without notice. In other words, Users may redeem FFXIV Coins for as long as Company chooses to make FFXIV Coins redeemable for FFXIV products and services, which Company has no obligation to do. Accordingly, we encourage Users to redeem FFXIV Coins sooner rather than later.
For the purpose of ensuring User safety and preventing fraudulent activity, we may set limits on the number of FFXIV Coins or monetary amount that may be authorized for use by Users on the Service. Similarly, we may set a limit on the number of FFXIV Coins, etc. a User may hold in his/her account.
If you lose your User status for any reason (including the loss of your registered account), you will lose your FFXIV Coins as well as your User status. The User acknowledges that withdrawal from the membership will result in the loss of FFXIV Coins.
FFXIV Coins are a service attached to the Square Enix Account for Nintendo Switch 2 platform and requires an active member registration at all times. Users will automatically lose access to any FFXIV Coins associated to their Account and any such stored FFXIV Coins will expire, upon cancellation, termination, loss of their FFXIV membership or Square Enix account.
In addition to the cases set forth in the Terms of Service and the Account Agreement, we may terminate a User's membership from the Service without prior notice or demand if the if Company determines an User has (i) been inactive for over one (1) year; (ii) failed to pay applicable fees or charges; or (iii) engaged in any of the "Prohibited Uses" outlined under the Square Enix Account Terms of Use.
Furthermore, in addition to the cases stipulated in this FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions, the Square Enix Account Terms of Use, and any other FFXIV Rules & Policies (https://sqex.to/XIVRules), the Company may, without prior notice or demand, terminate the User’s membership from the Service if the User falls under any of the following grounds, or if the Company determines, based on reasonable grounds, that there is a risk of such a situation. The Company shall not be liable for the suspension or termination of User’s membership.
| (a) | If the User violates any of the provisions of these FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions or engages in any of the “Prohibited Uses” listed under Section 5 of the Square Enix Account Terms of Use. |
| (b) | If the Company deems the User unsuitable to continue playing the Services or participate in the use of the FFXIV Coins System. |
Unless required by law, Company shall not be obligated to disclose to the User the reason for withdrawal from the membership as described in the preceding paragraph.
We will not refund or redeem any credited balance even if such User's use of FFXIV Coins is terminated in accordance with the provisions of this Article, except as otherwise provided by law.
When using FFXIV Coins, the User shall not engage in any of the following acts or acts that may lead to such acts.
| (1) | Using or impersonating another person's account information |
| (2) | Using account information illegally obtained or generated |
| (3) | Registering false information |
| (4) | Falsifying usage history, balances, etc. |
| (5) | Acts that cause disadvantage or damage to the Company, other Users, or other third parties. |
| (6) | Violation of laws, ordinances, etc. |
| (7) | Any commercial activity related to FFXIV Coins without our approval. |
| (8) | Acts that interfere with the operation of FFXIV Coins, such as causing our system to fail. |
| (9) | Acts that discredit or damage FFXIV Coins. |
| (10) | and any other actions that we deem inappropriate based on reasonable grounds. |
In the case of the preceding paragraph, if the Company suffers any damage, the User shall compensate the Company for all such damage. Company’s failure to insist upon or enforce a User’s strict compliance with these Terms and Conditions, or the Terms of Service, and other rules and policies associated with the use of FINAL FANTASY XIV, will not constitute a waiver of any of Company’s rights.
The Company may suspend the provision of all or part of the system related to the issuance and management of FFXIV Coins (hereinafter referred to as the “FFXIV Coin System”) at any time without prior notice to Users if any of the following events occurs.
| (1) | For periodic or emergency maintenance of equipment, etc. related to the provision of the FFXIV Coin System |
| (2) | If the FFXIV Coin System cannot be provided due to a failure of the system or communication lines, fire, power failure or other unforeseen accidents, or force majeure such as natural disasters. |
| (3) | When the Company deems it necessary to suspend the FFXIV Coin System for operational or technical reasons. |
| (4) | When the FFXIV Coin System cannot be provided due to actions required by law or regulation. |
| (5) | Any other case that the Company deems unavoidable. |
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Company may discontinue providing all or part of the FFXIV Coin System with prior notice to Users.
The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users due to the suspension or discontinuation of the provision of all or part of the FFXIV Coin System in accordance with this Article, except as otherwise provided by law.
We make no warranty to you in connection with your use of all or any part of the FFXIV Coin System, including, but not limited to, any of the following. In addition, we shall not be liable for any dispute or damage incurred by the User or a third party other than the User, except for faults directly attributable to our actions, or where we fail to materially adhere to the following warranties:
| (1) | FFXIV Coin System does not contain viruses or other harmful elements. |
| (2) | FFXIV Coin System, the store, etc. are not subject to unauthorized attacks by third parties. |
| (3) | that the provision of the FFXIV Coin System will not be interrupted. |
| (4) | The provision of the FFXIV Coin System, the Store, and other services will continue to be provided in the future. |
| (5) | There will be no unavailability or loss of connectivity of the FFXIV Coin System. |
| (6) | That the User's data in the FFXIV Coin System will not be erased or altered. |
| (7) | that the infrastructure, system, software or hardware for providing the FFXIV Coin System is free from defects, including malfunctions, defects, erroneous operations or communication line failures. In addition to the items in the preceding paragraph, the Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred due to discontinuation with notice, delays, interruptions, or stoppages in the provision of the FFXIV Coins System, unless there is a fault directly attributable to the Company. |
COMPANY’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE HIGHER OF (1) TEN UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD$10); OR (2) THE AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO THE NUMBER OF FFXIV COINS REDEEMED BY THE USER IN THE MONTH IN WHICH DAMAGE OCCURRED, OR (3) THE AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO THE NUMBER OF FFXIV COINS PURCHASED FROM THE NINTENDO STORE IN THE MONTH IN WHICH DAMAGE OCCURRED. WE DO NOT EXCLUDE OR LIMIT OUR LIABILITY TO YOU IN ANY WAY WHERE IT WOULD BE UNLAWFUL TO DO SO.
Supplementary Provisions
This Agreement is made as 27 July 2026.
