These FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions set out the terms under which Users (as defined in Article 1) may redeem and use FFXIV Coins. If you agree to these FFXIV Coin Terms and Conditions, please check the box next to the statement “I accept the above FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions”. By doing so you confirm that you have read and understand these terms between you and the Company (as defined below). Any FFXIV Coins purchased from the Microsoft Store will be redeemed automatically when you launch your copy of Final Fantasy XIV on your Xbox Series X|S and log in to the Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms and conditions, do not log in to the Service.
Depending on the User’s age, the User may be required to obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian or provide age assurance before redeeming any FFXIV Coins.
"Account" means a 'Square Enix Account'. The Square Enix Account Terms of Use are located at https://sqex.to/2ptu2.
“Account Terms” means the terms and conditions to which you agree when you register for a Square Enix Account (https://sqex.to/2ptu2).
“Company” refers to Square Enix Co., Ltd for the ASIA region, Square Enix Limited for the United Kingdom and European region, and Square Enix, Inc. for the Americas region.
Square Enix Co., Ltd., is a corporation registered in Japan with an office in Tokyo, Japan.
Square Enix Limited is a corporation registered in England with company number 01804186 VAT registration number 680 9884 78 and registered office address 240 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NW, England.
Square Enix Inc. is a corporation registered in Washington with registered office address 999 N. Pacific Coast Highway, El Segundo, California 90245.
"FFXIV Coins" refers to the virtual tokens that can be used for the purposes set out in these FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions.
“FFXIV Coin System” refers to the Internet-based system operated by Company for the licensing, distribution, storage and redemption of FFXIV Coins.
“Service” refers to the massively multiplayer online game 'FINAL FANTASY XIV' and associated services provided by the Company via FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE, including the "Mog Station" (https://sqex.to/Msp) and "FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Store" (https://store.finalfantasyxiv.com).
"Terms of Service" means the "FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement” (https://sqex.to/nUlDg) and other rules and policies associated with the use of FINAL FANTASY XIV (https://sqex.to/XIVRules), including the “Square Enix Account Terms Of Use”.
"User" means a customer who has agreed to the Square Enix Terms of Service and has registered a Square Enix Account in order to use the Service.
These FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions only apply to the use of FFXIV Coins. For terms regarding the sale or return of FFXIV Coins, please see the Microsoft Store Terms and Conditions (https://www.microsoft.com/store/b/terms-of-sale).
The User confirms that in addition to these FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions, the Square Enix Terms of Service as well as other Rules and Policies found at https://sqex.to/XIVRules will also apply to the use of FFXIV Coins. In the event of any conflict between these FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions and the Square Enix Terms of Service, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
The Company may change these FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions at any time in its sole discretion. In the event of any material changes to these FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions, the Company shall notify Users of the changes through the Service provided on the Xbox Series X|S platforms or through other communication methods available to the public.
The following policies govern the FFXIV Coins System offered by Company to its Users in their respective regions.
The “FFXIV Coins System” refers to an Internet-based system operated by Company for the licensing, distribution, storage and redemption of FFXIV Coins. “FFXIV Coins” are virtual tokens that may be redeemed by Users for certain services and items offered by Company directly or by outlets approved by Company in its sole discretion. FFXIV Coins may only be used for the following purposes ("Eligible Transactions”):
User may choose whether or not they wish to use FFXIV Coins. Access to and use of FFXIV Coins licensed by Company is currently limited to registered Users located in their respective region.
FFXIV Coins are virtual goods licensed to Users under the Terms of Service and owned at all times by Company. FFXIV Coins have no monetary value, Users do not have any personal property rights in FFXIV Coins. Therefore, FFXIV Coins may not be traded for cash, currency or any form of property, license or rights except for the products and services that Company chooses to offer users in its sole discretion. Registered Users may not transfer FFXIV Coins to any other person.
In order to protect Users’ security and to deter fraud, Company may impose limits on the amount of FFXIV Coins that each Registered User may license per transaction and per month. Company may also limit the maximum amount of FFXIV Coins that each User may hold in a Square Enix Account at any one time. Company may limit in its sole discretion the number of Square Enix Accounts that each User may create.
Users may redeem FFXIV Coins for Eligible Transactions. Company reserves the right to determine what services and/or items are eligible for redemption by FFXIV Coins. Further, Company reserves the right to adjust the amount of FFXIV Coins due for each product and online service at any time, in its sole discretion, without notice.
Once a User has redeemed FFXIV Coins for an Eligible Transaction, the FFXIV Coins will be deducted from the User's account and cannot be re-used. Once the FFXIV Coins have been redeemed and consumed, the redemption transaction may not be cancelled and Users will not have a right to a refund or reverse a transaction once it is completed.
If you live in the North America or Asia Regions:
If Company determines that an incorrect price (in FFXIV Coins) is identified for a product or online service, it reserves the right to reverse and/or nullify any such transaction.
Except as required by law, Users have no right to receive a cash refund for unused FFXIV Coins.
FFXIV COINS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE ONCE REDEEMED AND USED TO EXCHANGE FOR IN-GAME SERVICES AND/OR ITEMS.
If a third party obtains access to a Square Enix Account by use of a Users’ Square Enix ID and password, User must notify Company immediately in order to be eligible for any possible remedial action by Company. Company will investigate any claim of a compromised Square Enix Account and, in its sole discretion, may add some FFXIV Coins to the balance if it is confirmed that a third party depleted the Square Enix Account without authorization due to no fault of the User. Company will not add FFXIV Coins if the Registered User did not take appropriate steps to protect a Square Enix ID and password from third parties, including members of the User’s household.
If you live in the UK or European Union:
Right of Withdrawal – you have the right to withdraw from a contract for Eligible Transactions within 14-days from the day of the conclusion of the contract without giving any reason. However, you may have lost your right of withdrawal for Eligible Transactions if (i) the performance has begun and if you provided prior express consent to begin the performance during the right of withdrawal period, (ii) you acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal and (iii) we have provided you with a confirmation within a reasonable time after the conclusion of the contract in accordance with applicable laws.
The Company reserves the right to cancel or void any such transaction if the redemption was due to an unauthorised transaction. User agrees that Company has the absolute right to manage and regulate the FFXIV Coins System in its sole discretion. If Company suspects any fraudulent, abusive or unlawful activity with respect to a User’s FFXIV Coins balance, then Company may reduce or delete the Users’ FFXIV Coins balance, or deactivate, suspend or terminate access to the FFXIV Coins. If you believe there has been an unauthorized transaction, please contact us through our Customer Support Portal (https://sqex.to/globalsupport).
If a User is either (a) banned for any reason, including violation of the Agreement, or (b) voluntarily terminates the Registered User’s Square Enix Account, Company reserves the right to delete the Square Enix Account and all associated FFXIV Coins permanently.
Company reserves the right to change the way that the FFXIV Coins System operates, or to terminate the FFXIV Coins System altogether, at any time, in its sole discretion, without notice. Any such changes shall take effect immediately upon posting of the change.
BY ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT (OR IN THE CASE OF THE AMERICAS AND ASIA, BY USE OF THE FFXIV COINS SYSTEM), USERS AGREE NOT TO ASSERT OR BRING ANY CLAIM OR SUIT AGAINST COMPANY, ITS AFFILIATES, ITS BACK-END SERVICE PROVIDER, OR THEIR EMPLOYEES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO FFXIV COINS OR THE FFXIV COINS SYSTEM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIM WHICH IS BASED ON A THEORY THAT REGISTERED USERS "OWN" FFXIV COINS OR ANY VIRTUAL GOODS IN ANY GAME OR SERVICE OFFERED BY COMPANY OR ITS AFFILIATES, OR THAT REGISTERED USERS LOST THE "VALUE" OF VIRTUAL GOODS OR FFXIV COINS AS A RESULT OF FFXIV COINS DELETION OR ACCOUNT TERMINATION BY COMPANY, OR FOR ANY MODIFICATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF FFXIV COINS REQUIRED TO ACCESS CERTAIN GOODS OR SERVICES, OR THE REMOVAL OF ACCESS TO ANY GOODS/SERVICES, OR FOR ANY MALFUNCTIONS AND/OR "BUGS" IN SQUARE ENIX’S GOODS AND SERVICES, INCLUDING THE FFXIV COINS SYSTEM.
The terms and conditions of the Microsoft Store and its payment methods apply to the purchase of FFXIV Coins. If a problem arises between the User and the Microsoft Store, the problem should be resolved through contacting the Microsoft Store’s customer support (https://support.xbox.com/).

The Company does not grant permanent or physical ownership of FFXIV Coins to the User, but grants the User permission to manage, inquire about and use the remaining number under the following conditions.
a)The management of FFXIV Coins is handled as unique to each registered Account, and the User may not transfer, accept, lend, sell, or change the name of the registered FFXIV Coins to a third party (including similar acts and acts that do not directly fall under these acts, but are deemed to fall under these acts substantially.), nor shall the User engage in any act that aids and abets such acts. FFXIV Coins registered in different accounts cannot be combined and used, with exceptions determined separately by the Company.
b)FFXIV Coins can be inquired on the account management screen (set in the 'Mog Station' section of the Store).
c)FFXIV Coins that have been redeemed are non-refundable.
d)FFXIV Coins can only be used for Eligible Transactions approved by the Company and cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, except as otherwise required by law.
Currently, FFXIV Coins do not expire, but Company reserves the right to alter or terminate the FFXIV Coins system at any time without notice. In other words, Users may redeem FFXIV Coins for as long as Company chooses to make FFXIV Coins redeemable for FFXIV products and services, which Company has no obligation to do. Accordingly, we encourage Users to redeem FFXIV Coins sooner rather than later.
FFXIV Coins are a service attached to the Square Enix Account for Xbox Series X|S platforms and requires an active member registration at all times. Users will automatically lose access to any FFXIV Coins associated to their Account and any such stored FFXIV Coins will expire, upon cancellation, termination, loss of his/her FFXIV membership or Square Enix account.
Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of the FFXIV services at any time, or to terminate your Square Enix account. User may automatically lose access to their Square Enix Account and any associated FFXIV Coins with or without prior notification if Company determines an User has (i) been inactive for over one (1) year; (ii) failed to pay applicable fees or charges; or (iii) engaged in any of the "Prohibited Uses" outlined under the Square Enix Account Terms of Use.
The User acknowledges that deregistration will be accompanied by the forfeiture of FFXIV Coins and agrees to this treatment in advance.
Furthermore, in addition to the cases stipulated in this FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions, the Square Enix Account Terms of Use, and any other FFXIV Rules & Policies (https://sqex.to/XIVRules), the Company may, without prior notice or demand, terminate the User’s membership from the Service if the User falls under any of the following grounds, or if the Company determines, based on reasonable grounds, that there is a risk of such a situation. The Company shall not be liable for the suspension or termination of User’s membership.
a)If the User violates any of the provisions of these FFXIV Coins Terms and Conditions or engages in any of the “Prohibited Uses” listed under Section 5 of the Square Enix Account Terms of Use.
b)If the Company deems the User unsuitable to continue playing the Services or participate in the use of the FFXIV Coins System.
Unless required by law, Company shall not be obliged to disclose to the User the reasons for withdrawal from membership as set out in the preceding paragraph.
The User shall not engage in, or procure or encourage others to engage in, any of the following acts or acts that may lead to such acts in the use of the FFXIV Coins:
In the case of the preceding paragraph, if the Company suffers any damage, the User concerned shall compensate the Company for all such damage.
Company may, at any time and without prior notice to the User, suspend all or part of the FFXIV Coin System. Reasons for such suspension and/or cessation of the FFXIV Coins system may include but are not limited to:
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Company may suspend the provision of all or part of the FFXIV Coin System with or without prior notice to the user.
The Company shall not be held liable for any damages incurred by the User as a result of the suspension or discontinuation of the provision of all or part of the FFXIV Coin System in accordance with this Article, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
The Company shall not guarantee any of the following to the User in relation to the User's use of all or part of the FFXIV Coin System. Furthermore, the Company shall not be liable for any disputes or damages incurred by said User or third parties other than said User due to the occurrence of any of the following, unless there are reasons attributable to the Company.
In addition to the items in the preceding paragraph, the Company shall not be liable for any damage caused by delays, interruptions or stoppages in the provision of the FFXIV Coin System, unless there is a reason attributable to the Company.
COMPANY’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE HIGHER OF (1) TEN UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD$10); OR (2) THE AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO THE NUMBER OF FFXIV COINS REDEEMED BY THE USER IN THE MONTH IN WHICH DAMAGE OCCURRED, OR (3) THE AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO THE NUMBER OF FFXIV COINS PURCHASED FROM THE MICROSOFT STORE IN THE MONTH IN WHICH DAMAGE OCCURRED. WE DO NOT EXCLUDE OR LIMIT OUR LIABILITY TO YOU IN ANY WAY WHERE IT WOULD BE UNLAWFUL TO DO SO.
